I want to start making my own kevlar/Nomex chute protectors and chute bags, anyone have a known good source for kevlar? I don't need but a couple yards. Found a few spots but don't know exactly know what to look for.
Thanks

I found an eBay supplier of ripstop Nomex/Kevlar fabric that's almost identical to the heavy black chute protectors that Wildman sells. The seller's name is textile_specialist and they sell by the yard.

There is a great thread that discussed some of the various materials available and how well they held up to ejection charges (see link below). cwbullett's posts have a lot of info. I've purchased all my material from Textile Specialists on ebay as Keisling references above. I usually order 2-3 yards at a time. It seems like a lot of material but it gets used up pretty quickly.
