Quick question for the rope masters of the forum;

I ordered the last LOC Cruiser to cannibalize for my L2 project. Contained in the kit was a flat woven black 5/8" wide shock cord ~170" long with sewn loops at each end.

Any idea what material this is? Was this a common type of cord for older LOC kits?

Thanks!

My Doorknob came with 5/8 tubular nylon. Still the standard kit I think. Are they changing to something else ?

And that's exactly what it looks like. Thanks guys! This is the first LOC kit I bought, and it wasn't one of their mainstream offerings, so I wasn't sure if it was a nominal indicator.

I'm going to use the stock piece for the aft section, And probably get another of the same for the payload.

This is very interesting! But I'm not really sure what material is this. However, I'm interested to know and make use of it too.
