A scratch build. (mainly done just as a test of building methods)
I picked some of the smaller parts from the Big Box o' Estes Parts, and let Open Rocket's optimizer have its way with the fin design.

The result is the little girl I call Icarus One.

According to OR, she'll do Mach 0.4 and hit 1600 feet on a C6-7 (a C6-5 will rip her apart b/c she'll still be doing 50 mph at chute deployment!)

Now THAT's the fillets I always wanted to do!

We're launching Saturday. I'm thinking of bringing Champagne.

The Proteus/Zed 1 Should also be ready!

Resuming my low power payload research, we'll be carrying various weight and measuring height.
The Proteus is built to carry an Eggfinder.

EDIT and you can see the Mercury Redstone back there under construction.
