Could North Korea and South Korea finally end their war? Reports say yes

Here's what I think is happening and it's probably the best that could ever be realistically hoped for for all involved:
1. Formal end of Korean War announced
2. NK gives up its nukes and formally goes under (or remains under) China's nuclear bubble just as SK and Japan are under ours; since NK nukes are primarily intended to prevent regime change, they would no longer be needed; as part of the deal, the US MIGHT make a pledge to not move militarily against NK as we did about Cuba, perhaps secretly to avoid political outcry
3. NK opens up to the world, becoming a mini-China with a leader for life (Kim Jong Un) like Xi
4. Oligarchs in NK become insanely rich as they did when Russia & China opened up to (crony) capitalism and to the world's financial system thereby eliminating any desire they might have had to overthrow Kim
5. Labor which is becoming expensive enough in China to justify extreme automation and looking the other way about a large influx of illegal aliens into China is made cheap again via NK
6. Huge NK military manning will gradually transition to factory workers; the commoners of NK will be insanely happy due to the huge increase in their standard of living, further securing Kim's lifetime position
7. N & S Korea will not reunify since China wants a buffer between a US ally and its borders and Kim wants to remain in power for life as part of the overall deal; China might even establish military bases in NK
8. US is cured of its NK headache in that sphere of influence; US military resources in SK could be deployed elsewhere (but watch to see if that actually happens in order to determine what the secondary reason for them being there might be - hint: China)
9. Globalists who have no allegiance to any nation or political ideology nor any ethics other than making money by any (preferably legal) means will absolutely love this and since they're mostly in charge...
