I got a LOC Vulcanite a few weeks ago.
I don't like elastic shock cord, so I got some 1/2 inch nylon-kevlar threaded shock cord.
I put in 25 ft of it, which seems like WAY too much.
How much should I need?

I'll eventually make it DD, but for now, I'll stick to single deploy on little H motors.

Might fly it on a Aero-Tech H100W DMS motor this weekend.
How high would it go, 3K?

Thanks,

I went with 25’ of 3/16 Kevlar from One Bad Hawk for the apogee then about 12’ for the main with a 30” loc parachute in the top. It is really tough getting it all in there for the main. It has taken a lot of practice packing and testing to be comfortable for a reliable main deployment. I’m still pondering getting a smaller compact hemispherical para chute to make it easier.

My Thurstcurve estimation For mine with the weight of dual deploy is estimating just under 3k.

Goid luck.

It's a great rocket. Have fun with it. I have the Nuke flavor and it's one of my most reliable fliers. 3K is about right on a small H. It will show you 7K on a J.
