During yesterday's launch, two of my rockets landed on an asphalt road. A fin was chipped on one, the point of the fiberglass nose cone was chipped on the other, pics attached.

For the NC, should I just sand off the damaged point and repaint, or what? For the fin, can I place sheets of paper over the area where the wood is missing and then fill with epoxy or something? Or do I need a whole new fin?

Thanks for any tips or tricks,
Bill

Sand the NC smooth & be done with it.
Fins - cut off damaged section and do the same for remaining fins to match.

+1 on not attempting to repair the fin - it will break again at the point of repair (BTDT).
Those fins look huge for the rocket, but do sim stability in OpenRocket to make sure trimmed fins will be adequate.

For nose cone, you can apply thick CA to fill in the scratches, then sand, and respray the paint on top. I
f you spend enough time sanding, it will be as good as new.
