Threw this together from a couple of cartons.

Fins are 3/32 balsa, papered with wood glue.

Diameter is 3 3/4 inches

Mass with engine and everything about 700 grams.

29 mm engine mount.

I am NOT L1, so G is as high as I go for now.

Thrustcurve gives me this

AeroTech G78
825g
64ft/s
288ft/s
10.9G
592ft
5.2s
4s

the core is a piston ejection system.

Mini Rail buttons.

Not sure if it is really flyable, not sim able due to the square airframe (and I don't know how that pyramid nose cone will work. Pyramids have worked great on my Heli's and Air Brake stuff, all square airframes.)

Overall dimensions and appearance however seem similar to some of the New Way square rockets.

It is about 45 inches long, and the CG is about 4 inches forward of the Fins loaded with an AeroTech G80 (unfortunately 7 second delay, I know THAT is too long, hence looking at buying a G78).

Questions: is this flyable at all?
Does a G78 sound like a reasonable choice?

Thanks,

Tom

I don't know how tall the fins are, but they look right at one diameter and there's four of them.

CG feels a bit far back; I'd definitely sim it as a cylinder with a cone nose.

a^2 = π * r^2
3.75 * 3.75 = π * r^2
14.0625 = π * r^2
4.476 = r^2
r=2.12
D~4.23?
