I have a Blackhawk 38 and I it hasn't been flown yet. I have some 29mm loads and no 29mm rockets so I thought about using an adapter so I could fly them in the BH, but I still can't quite figure how to retain that. There has to be a thread about it that I'm missed?

Only 5-6in long.

Made with scrap MM tube, CR's & Bondo.

Glue up a y-harness to MM tube.
Glue on 2 coupler to 29mm CR's, for 38mm coupler to Motor mount tube.

Insert MM assembly into 38mm coupler/glue.
Glue on an outer thrust ring goes over 38mm coupler....leave an inch of motor mount sticking out back.

Old credit card & Bondo to shape tailcone between thrust ring and MM tube.

Held in place by rear rail button [or plain screw] & you have a recovery gear attach point AND it looks GOOD.

TO use....
run shock cord out back of fincan & attach to Y-harness......
insert motor & wrap a few turns of tape at front so motor can't kick out back.
Insert motor & adapter into BH38 airframe and insert rear rail button to hold in place....Done.

That's a 3grain CTI case.
