If I was going to try this I'd do two pairs of double-length+ tubers. Then once the pairs were glued and dried I'd cut 'em in half, pick the three best, glue the good ends up, then sand the bottom flush across.
Just my opinion though, otherwise getting those tiny tubes parallel.... yech.
