I’ll be there with my wife & kids. We’re planning on getting there Friday morning with our trailer and staying until Sunday afternoon.

I should be able to do the maiden on my new Broken Arrow 54. I’ll have a pile of other rockets too. I’m looking forward to the drag races!

My wife has been drumming up some excitement among local kids & parents. There should be quite a few new rocketeers out there too. It’ll be awesome to help teach some new kids (and parents) about rocketry.

WeFly2 has booked a room ..so we are most probably traveling together .

Will be a good time as always ..

Kenny

Geeked up for another visit - starting to prep a few epic flights and a few other awesome attempts at levity and the luxury of the dry lake bed.

Looking forward to it! Thread went crickets..... Tripoli Las Vegas hosts one of the better times had on a rocket range - a good warm-up for LDRS 37.

From a guy who won't be there (and is very sad about it)............
Folks, this truly is one if the coolest launches around anywhere - great launch field, way cool folks, usually a perfect mix of lots of extremely cool rockets/flights but very little wait time to fly when it's your turn, awesome atmosphere, tons of great raffles (and a higher prize to participant ratio than most), great vendor support, laughter, tears, and sometimes even a bit of blood.
Really...it's one of the best by far.

miss you all out there on the lakebed, launch one or two for me,
clear and windless skies to y'all,
s6

I wish you could be there, s6. I'm really excited about it. I put my order in the other day for a handful of motors for Moto-Joe. I plan on grabbing more at the launch from Balsa Machining and AeroTech.

My Broken Arrow got its base coat today...still on track to be done by SpringFest! My plan for it is a I140W maiden, followed by I280DM & J270W flights. Maybe more. Should be fun!

Weather's looking a little sketchy... they're predicting rain on Friday & Saturday. Any contingency plan?

I’m not scared yet. NWS is forecasting a 20-30% chance of rain on Friday & Saturday. That usually translates to virga over Mt Charleston & high cirrus over Jean. They’re also saying 8-12 knots of wind...fingers crossed!

Unfortunately with pictures you can not tell that tubing is actually the new transparent blue.
If you clear coat that tubing its just like our red that looks like candy apple.
We hope the winner enjoys :)

Got a good picture of it. Wiped it down with Windex. Damm it looks good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's the Nevada rain where it doesn't hang around or last all day. We can still do the raffle under the canopies! :horse:

I’ll drive out Tuesday morning to see how dry the lakebed is after this weekend’s rain. We got some here in Henderson, but I’m not sure how much they got in Jean.

I plan on getting there Thursday evening with my travel trailer. Right now, NWS is forecasting 20-30% chance of rain in Jean all weekend. Fingers crossed.

More Raffle updates!! 5$ for 6 tickets.... you are going to need to get as many as you can.

Huge thanks to MadCow Rocketry!
They have added two, $50 coupons for thier store! Thats right, two.

Thank you MadCow!

Tomorrow looks like it'll be a great morning out at Jean. Light winds and cool temps.
