Donald Roy Pettit is a chemical engineer and a NASA astronaut. I support a great increase in his "sophisticated" vs "dumb" payload mass ratio simply by leaving "spam in a can" out of the equation, a point that he, as an astronaut, didn't cover. I support robotic exploration.
