William Claude Dukenfield (January 29, 1880 – December 25, 1946) aka W. C. Fields

A big (late) Happy Birthday to one of my favorite one-liner comedians.

"I was in love with a beautiful blonde once, dear. She drove me to drink. That's the one thing I am indebted to her for."

The only other one-liner comedians in show business that came close to his humor were Rodney Dangerfield and Groucho Marx.

They just don't make 'em like this anymore.

The opening scene of "The Bank Dick" with his family has some real LOL moments, especially when he picks up the flower pot to throw at his daughter.

One of them pulled a knife on me.
Pulled a knife that was really... It was...
It was about that...
It was about that long. It was really an assegai.

Assegai might be a good name for a rocket
