It was a nice day at Gibson Ranch Park, for the first SARG launch of the year. It got breezy in the afternoon, but the sun was out which kept it from getting too cold. SARG always attracts a lot of youth groups, and there were at least a billion Cub Scouts. It's always fun watching the kids launch their rockets, and they launched a lot!

I brought three rockets with me, and launched all three. The first of mine was my scratch built Centurion XL, a 3" upscale. It flew to 768ft on an F52 Blue Thunder. The delay was a little long, but a nice flight nonetheless.

The second of mine was the maiden flight of Make Tube Fly With Fire. It flew to 1067ft on a G77 Redline. I had the Chute Release set for 300ft,
but missed it in the video. Very nice red flame from the Redline!

The third and last of mine was my Pink Hornet. It flew to 997ft on a G138 Blue Thunder. I had the Chute Release set for 300ft, but it didn't deploy until almost to the ground. Not sure why. It was a 3ft Rocketman chute, but it looked like the CR didn't release until about 50ft. Maybe it got tangled, I don't know. It added a little extra excitement to the flight! It landed precariously close to a large puddle and muddy area, that I didn't even know were there. Dodged the bullet on that one. And to top it all off, Olga caught mach diamonds in the launch photo!

This is Jeff's Pringles rocket, on a G76 Mojave Green. Jeff, like me, was a member of the original SARG club in the 90's.
