Well I have a thing for the Estes Big Bertha 😁 I have a Baby Bertha and a modded 24mm engine standard Big Bertha. So naturally I needed to build a Super Big Bertha! With some pieces from the parts bin and a CAD file of the fin size, I set out to build a Super Bertha. The 24mm engine that’s standard didn’t trip my trigger, so I installed a 29mm mount so I can run my Aerotech 29/40-120 motors in it. Made the fins from 1/8” plywood and reinforced the tube so it could withstand some H loads. Coming in @ 44” tall now she is ready to fly after a couple days work. I have dubbed her “Stealth Mode”

Looks like a fun fleet. Did you get to fly it on this nice January Sunday?

Unfortunately due to some family commitments I didn’t get to fly today. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer January day in Indiana though! Hopefully I will get out soon, or at a launch in early February that I plan on attending.
