Runcam 2 lens retention?

I'm designing a mount for a Runcam 2 which will completely enclose the camera. I'd just as soon do without the lens shroud (it's actually slightly bigger than the case, and I can easily have adequate protection in my mount), so I'm wondering how the lens module is actually retained -- more specifically, if the lens shroud is involved in retention. Yes, I know I can just open the case and find out, but if somebody knows the answer I'd rather avoid that.
