Hello folks, I am creating a high power water rocket by myself. Should I use an axial chute deployment system ? Observation : It's weight is less than 5 pounds and it will fly at most 1700 feet

When we say High Power, we typically mean more than 160 Newton seconds impulse. I'm going to assume you don't intend to develop that kind of thrust in your first water rocket. I'm guessing that you just mean "a lot of power".

I don't know the answer, but I see from your post history that you have a lot of great questions. I recommend contacting one or more local Rocketry groups.

UFPR appears to have thirty or forty years of association with amateur and model Rocketry; they should be able to point you in a safe and legal direction for your location.

You are correct. No way I can create this kind of thing in my first try. I said "High Power" because in comparison to other water rockets (mainly with plastic bottles) the mine will be very much powerful. While the regular water rockets use 70 psi, my project is to 450-500psi.

Thanks, and you gave a great answer to my question. It's kinda simple aswer, but like the mythbusters I sometimes make easy things become complicated.
