What: Northern Illinois Rocketry Conference 2017 (NIRCON 2017)

A one day convention modeled on the NAR’s national NARCON event with speakers, rocket display with “People’s Choice” voting for best model, and a prize raffle, sponsored by the Fox Valley Rocketeers (FVR), NAR Section #683.

When: Saturday, February 10, 2018. Registration opens at 8:15 AM and convention activities begin at 9:00 AM

Where: Woodstock North High School, Room D-187, 3000 Raffel Road, Woodstock, IL

Entry Fee: $0.00, FREE! (Seriously!)

Raffle Tickets: $1 each or six (6) for $5.00. Tons of kits and supplies to win.

Lunch: Available for $6.00 (sandwich, chips, soda). Other fast food options located near by.

Hey, how are the roads in the area?

Sorry I couldn't give that report as I read this after I got back from the event.

Thank you Fox Valley Rocketeers for hosting this event. The speakers, displays and chatting made for a great day. I've got to get my club back in the groove of annual day conventions.

I've got to get my club back in the groove of annual day conventions.

I wish more clubs would give this a try. It's not terribly hard to organize a one day convention with 6-8 talks and it gives folks a chance to have the convention experience when they can't get to NARCON.
