MMMSC will hold a special, unscheduled launch on Saturday, 02 December. This launch will be geared toward various college groups that were shut out at the last CMASS launch due to the wind blowing toward the high-tension wires. However, the launch will be open to all comers. This is not the Winter Solstice launch; THE USE OF SPARKY MOTORS IS PROHIBITED AT THIS LAUNCH!! If conditions allow, that will take place later in the month.
Robert and Gloria will be there with the AMWProX stock room. Contact them ahead of time to be sure they'll have what you are looking for. They carry more than CTI motors, Estes supplies, Jolly Logic Chute Releases and all the great kits; they also have all the parts you would need for your own scratch built designs. It's going to be long winter, don't get caught short on building supplies.
Gloria will also make her famous Rocket Chili and you can tweak the heat with some of Robert's peppers. Hot soup, coffee and cocoa will be available, too, along with hot dogs, burgers and fries.
Set up starts at 9:30 and we'll start flying as soon as we're ready to go. We'll fly as long as we can but it's getting dark earlier now so don't expect to get any extension on time. It would also be great if the regulars could get some help setting up and breaking down; packing up the trailer in the dark isn't the easiest thing. :sad:
