Well, that certainly is not what I expected. Perhaps I misjudged him. :eyepop:

But he still has not wrung it out fully. Like aerobatics. And a full power dive from 10,000 feet

to 100' with a rapid pull up. :surprised: Carry on Peter, I vote to put your craft in the Wright Patterson museum.

Looks like fun. I've got to say jumping from RC planes to flying your own ultra light is pretty awesome (or crazy) depending on how you look at it!

Real planes go thru considerable simulation and optimization before any metal is cut.

Then the certifications for civilian safe use are pretty intense. The costs are enormous.

Remember Cessna basically stopped designing new consumer planes, after a rash of lawsuits, many unwarranted,
crashes were caused by pilot error.

That is why the 172, designed in 1956, is still a main product.

Of course sport pilot builders don't have those problems.

I would like to see Peter get into carbon fiber, and higher performance airframes.

He needs some friends that are CAD savvy, to do some sim, and structural analysis. plane 1.jpgplane 2.jpg
