Beautiful stuff with the color film in uncharacteristically excellent condition. Little and Big Joe coverage included.

Another excellent find, Winston. By the way, when was the last time you saw the sun?

I have been boycotting the NFL (except, occasionally, the Superbowl) long before it was fashionable to do so and, for that matter, ignoring every other televised sport, so I don't waste time with pursuits that aren't educational. Therefore, I have plenty of time to see the sun AND watch educational videos by not wasting my time in the way far too many do.

History in the First Person: Designing and Building the Mercury Capsule

...with drafting boards, vellum sheets, and slide rules. More interesting info in this video with comments from the guys involved. More capsule design specifics not mentioned and footage not present in the previous video starting at 15:00 and further excerpted throughout the talk - it's always an annoyance for me when such video is used but its source isn't mentioned which then prevents me from watching the full length, original technical source material without a time consuming search which might not pay off.
