I still need to do some detail work on the side pods and a final sand but coming along well. The challenge will be gluing the painted pods on after the paint job is done as far as touching up the white. Not doing the standard paint on the card, but something off the wall..I also want to scratch build this kit, but my way.

Very cool. I've always liked the design of the Lexxjet. Can't wait to see your paint scheme.

I liked this one for a long time, since I saw the prototype at the store. Build light, build strong the Apogee/Shrox way. Up to an F 39 built stock! Should have the big Dynastar plastic chute.

Scratch it with bulletproofing, a bigger motor and more nose weight - awesome dude!:)

I'm still kicking around a paint scheme. I do like the stock scheme. It's definitely a challenge. I did however consider masking off that ridiculously cool paint scheme.

Painted these were somewhat challenging.

Well not so much painting them as is gluing the two pieces together with CA and trying not to ruin the paint, which is what I did on one. No Biggie I'll touch it up by brush.

I was considering building the Lexxjet and the Snarky again but this time using better quality tubes and better balsa or basswood. Found out that the only place to buy the nose cones are @ Apogee at $15 each and (God knows what ridiculous price I would pay for shipping), which seeing how easy they split when you cut them is a complete joke. BRS use to carry them but apparently Tim no longer sells his parts to any retailers. I'm sure knowing him he'll stop selling his kits to outside retailers so he can jack them up way beyond what they are actually worth!! BRS sold them a couple dollars less, which is why I always bought from Brian. He runs a good business and is very fair on his prices and shipping. Great guy to do business with.

When I'm done with this kit I'll have it up for sell. I will no longer support or give Apogee any of my business.

Painted the
gloss white now it's time to lay down the color. Probably mask this off thus weekend. I want to give the paint some more time dry. I also touched up the gray on the pods. Turned out pretty good.
