But what does it mean to "be a man"? Also, how should the female participants of this forum act?

Its a quote from Star Trek: First contact by Zefran Cochran.

Also, how should the female participants of this forum act?

How does that have to do with the OP?

I think people have missed the boat.

In all seriousness the OP was about who your hero is. This has nothing to do with gender.

And can you change your location to wherever you're located? I find "god's country" a bit misleading, or at least vague. The whole world is 'God's country, if not the solar system / galaxy / universe.. Or is it that you think your particular patch of the planet is 'god's country and the rest is just .. outside the garden gates /some slummy sub-burb of hades or .. If you are referring to an actual country, what does that say of the other 195 countries on the planet? Granted some are less than ideal, but I'm sure a few think their country is pretty special, if not also viewed favourably by some upper being.. Isn't the Vatican City more God's country, considering that's where the Pope lives? And has lived for a very long time (longer than OK or the US has been around, if I recall..)

Jeez Paul, do we have to spell it out for you?
Don't you realize that many of those other countries have brown people in them? Some of them don't even like guns! Heck, they don't even cheer for the same football team as I do! Only MY country is "God's country" (at least that's what they told me in church). God bless the USA!!!!

Space Angle was the best. Weekday after school cartoons at 4pm on WRBL tv3 circa 1962. Scott McCloud aka Space Angle, Allen Shepard and John Glenn the original space heros.

I understand that, but when you talked about not being a great man, but just a man, I have to ask what that means to you (and others). Should we be living our lives like our heros, or follow a different principle?

Actually, it was several posts before that... but that did nothing to change my mind.
