I reserved a room .. if I can get a group together may stay on lakebed .

Have a few things to fly .. will depend on motors.

We always look forward to the lively night launch with y'all too !

Kenny

Always thought about attending this launch. Just cannot get into other desert launches like BALLS. Yes I'm spoiled. 25 miles from Vegas, a hot shower, nice digs, easy flight/travel. Yeah, can't fly to 100Kft, but who am I kidding. Might have to put it on the calendar for 2018.

Wow! This is heating up fast....

I'm getting word of some flights already!

A handful of HPR 2-stage flights....
A record attempt.... or 3...

Also had questions about people shipping their Rockets/Stuff to me ahead of the launch. Its a good idea.

Anyone who wants to grab a quick plane ride or who will be in the area, etc.., you can send your stuff ahead of time. It will be there at the launch site, when you get there. I can also ship it back right after the event as well. Your items will be under my security and control only, for those wondering.

I'm going with my wife & kids. We're planning on dragging our travel trailer out there either Thursday night or Friday morning. We'll likely stay until Sunday afternoon.

I'm planning on bringing my Vanish 29 for another I-motor record attempt (as long as it survives this weekend *knock on wood*) along with my modified Go Devil 29, my still-to-be-build Broken Arrow 54, and my kids two Formula 38s. We'll have some little Estes stuff too - a couple Crayon rockets, my modified 6-fin Hi Flier XL, and whatever those other ones are called.

I think we have a few friends from here in Vegas coming out for a day or two to introduce low power rockets to their kids. I'm pretty sure I have an old bud that'll be there to get hooked on high power too.

I'm thinking about bringing a hexacopter of mine to shoot some airborne video of some of the launches. I'll need to work with our Prefecture folks to make sure that's ok before I fly though.

I have a couple other Vanish XX rockets under construction to attack other records. I'm not sure if any of them will be ready (or the towers to fly them), but I'll bring them if they're ready to fly.

Right now I'm at 25% chance- I really want to go, but we have an expansion in progress at work I play large part in and my son may come back from China after 6 years. Mobile Hangar Unit No. 6 still needs catalytic converters so no really big projects this year. If you've never been- put this on your bucket list. The playa is recovery friendly and the stars at night are crystal-Vegas is over the hills and the closest Hotel/Truck stop is blocked by hills but still really close for creature comfort. Vegas Tripoli rocks and the folks there are the friendliest you'll ever meet. Couldn't make Airfest? Try this one!
I have my fingers crossed Nibbles will be re-incarnated!

All certification flights will be on Saturday only. Please have your paperwork ready or find anyone from TRA LV, we will get you ready to go. Good Luck on all Cert flights. Let us know before hand if you can.

Chances increased to day to 50%-woot! I warned the guys working for me they may be on their own for the week end. Big boss greenlighted it last month, but we just knocked a big hole in a wall today so, still a little dicey.

That's quite the raffle prize list. Can't wait!

I'm calling it now: my Broken Arrow won't be ready to fly by then. My Go Devil 38 still isn't here from AMW, so that won't be ready either. I'm still on track to have a new Mouse 38 and my kids' two Formula 38s ready to maiden though. I still have my Go Devil 29 that I need to fly too. I'll definitely need to buy some 29mm motors & a couple more CTI cases from the vendors.

How come waiver is only 17K? Aren't you guys out in the desert??

We have a really good relationship with our tower & faa. This is more than generous as it used to be only 4700' AGL for last few years I believe. Yes technically we are out in the desert. But more like 25 minutes out from the city, in the desert if that makes sense.

Now DeLamar once a year has 25k' waiver for us, and that is the real desert middle of nowhere few hour type drive.

Who knows....we might get 50,000' AGL out there soon......

Oh okay makes sense. IDK you were there close to Vegas

Awesome! Skies are clear, continuity is good, the Rocket on Pad # is going in five, four, three, two, one......

Up and out of there....arcing over....event...laundry is out....start walking....

Lots of good flights out there today, including this awesome flying pumpkin!

Missed out but heard the weather was exceptional. If you've never flown there, the launch site is great and the Tripoli Vegas group are the best folks you'd ever want to meet. Stickershock Mark usually comes down from Utah-easy going, great guy with a wonderful wife and kids. Reasonable truck stop hotel right around the corner (kinda) if you are not into camping on the playa. Stars are incredible if you look away from the Vegas light pollution a few miles (and hills) away. This year just happened to line up with a meteor shower and I was double bummed I had to work. *sigh* next year!

CErving and I think Rob702Martinez is a Steely Eyed Missile Man !

Thanks for the help in the outback !

We had a great time and looking forward to our next launch at Jean ..although it maybe Springfest to get out again .

Lots of Vendors and Night Launch ...i don't get that at our monthly launches !

Was nice to see Charlie from Aerotech also ..sounds like we have a lot to look forward to soon
