2-tomach.jpg

2-tomach, made with a couple 2.6" kits running 38mm: I345 booster, I55 sustainer. Just got another with 54mm motor mount... :)

I may as well add mine here. 54mm fiberglass variant. Flew to 21500' on an L640-DT. Mach 1.8. Love this rocket!
The name is "Orange Revolution"

Very cool. I have fin guides on the way along with some canvas bulkheads from UpscaleCNC. Cannot wait. I've never done a minimum diameter HPR bird and I figured what the heck - go fast. I like your methodology of TTW fins... I actually may consider ordering slotted airframe for the next one. For now I am going to give it a whirl and see what I can do. Looking forward to gradually working my way up the ladder starting with a J275 (assuming that is an optimal choice). I have several big motors in my box, just gotta be patient and have fun.

My 54mm Carbon Fiber MD Tomach XL. She has 11 flights, been to 23K @ Mach 2.3, drifted as far a 3.46 miles due to a premature main and descended from 10K on a 12" drogue with a failed main.

Fins are attached via a 3K 2x2 twill under vacuum with AeroPoxy PR2032 and leading edges finished with Proline 4500.

Dual trackers using TeleGPS and Comspec AT-2B

Dual altimeters SL100 and SLCF. Internal retainer.

1.6” Didn’t flow very straight on its maiden flight though. Got to go back to the drawing board.

I'm looking for a sim file for the 2.6" thin-wall fiberglass dual deploy Madcow Tomac. Has anyone simmed this one yet? Also recommendations for a nosecone sled for the tracker? Can't wait to build and fly this one. Here in Alabama, only Bama Blastoff offers a waiver high enough to really air it out.

What is the minimum motor that this has flown on? Thinking I might be able to fly it low on a "G" or baby "H." Recommendations welcome.

A G or baby H will work fine for your rocket.
