Can you fly a rocket on a Estes PSII launch pad without the blast deflector stand?

if I understand the question...er, yes but the deflector will wobble and possibly deflect the rocket exhaust onto the plastic components.

If you lost the blast deflector stand, you can create new ones using a nipple (all thread lamp pipe) from a lamp repair kit and some nuts to create a new one.

I launched it and it went fine. Didn't even touch the plastic components...
