Cool. Fire banned since February here in Denver so sparkies are just a dream, BP 1/4 A motors are just a dream, lighting a match in public would be cool. I 'm missing a launch like the Deserts miss the rain.

So like once or twice a year you'll get a huge flash flood (LDRS?) that lasts for days that just washes everything out and then after that no more rain? Is that taking the analogy too far?

We launch by a dam and flood control area, so no snow/rain then a fire ban. If you can't light the grill in the Park you can't fly a rocket. We have also been shut down with heavy rains that flood the road to the launch area. This weather is more like Texas this year, not so good for rockets like it has been in years past when you could launch almost every day. Sparkies are permanently banned in all but two launch sites in the State and then only RSO permitting at those sites. Sparkies are a real treat out here.
