And YES! We attended. Extreme dew conditions in the mornings, made for some adequate surfing on the beautiful green sod which apparently hasn't suffered from all the rain our neck of the woods has gotten lately. A slight brisk of cool was in the air, but no jackets required. The weekend was eventful to say the least. There were a number of CATO's to be counted, and I was one of the victims. It would mark my 2nd CATO of all time. (I guess I've been lucky on that note) My BOC (Breakfast Of Champions) rocket billboard, (so to speak) took a blow through on an E30. Repairable I suppose. Might have to spruce up an Oatmeal can or 2. But my most interesting flight of the weekend was the missed target. I've already landed my Arapahoe F in the back of a PU truck in O'burg a few years back, and I thought my Custom Alpha, 50th Anniversary design was going to be the 2nd in that stack of accomplishments. Unfortunately, it was a close miss, having lodged itself in a manner to which I have never seen before.

And of course, it cracked the fin. I can barely get away from Camden without broken fins these days.
Tom Binford took some videos I hope he will post. They will surely look better than mine do. I'll prolly post them anyway, but they are mostly my rockets in the vid.
We all all are hoping Bobby is well. He took a spill when the mic cable reached out and pulled his foot out from under him. Nasty, vindictive mic cables!!! Anyway, we think he got away with a couple of sore spots. Probably feeling it this morning though. Johnny retired this weekend as President and made it clear that he has no intentions of just fading away. Now to become a "commoner" amongst the rest of the club. Now he has more time to play rockets like the big overgrown kid that he (we) all really are.
GOT PIC? Let's see-em!
