    Outstanding discovery - duh!

Guess what I discovered this morning... Probably not the best build technique to taper your root edge! Jeez! Got my delta fins turned around in my mind and/or wasn't paying too much attention as I am building three in parallel.

Best thing is that they are delta fins. I might be able to flip 'em over, maybe cut a bit off the new trailing edge and be fine (and save myself a trip to the hobby store). I'll have to sim with some slightly smaller fins just to make sure.

Yep... I've had that happen. Kinda sucks when it does, don't it??

Now I always make some kind of a mark to designate the root edge before sanding the fins... prevents that sort of mistake.

It must be one of those days....
So far today I have dropped a CA soaked balsa NC into a dust pile, got urethane glue on my finger and smudged it all over the place, and finally primed two rockets with what turned out to be gloss white paint.

Time to go to the house...

Did the opposite last year. Had a rocket painted with nice gloss white (it really was done ..), and picked up the can of white primer to give it "just one more wet coat" ...

I now use Sharpie and write "primer" on my cans of primer - on the lid, and the bottom of the can, since I sometimes store them upside-down. I have some cans of gloss gray, so it was going to be just a matter of time before I did it on a gray rocket as well.

Hey, a blessing in disguise. Trimming the size of the fins ~1/3rd increases the performance by 4-5% across the board and still maintains a healthy stability margin. "Yeah, its a feature, not a bug."
