FS: Pratt Hobbies Go Box (Used)

I have a used Pratt Hobbies Go Box for sale. It is in good condition except the alligator clips are showing signs of age (These are heavy duty clips I installed to replace the standard ones but these are now showing a little rust - can be cleaned or replaced easily). The unit works and comes with all original parts.

This is the version with the battery clips (not the car lighter plug).

Works great with low and mid power rockets. http://www.pratthobbies.com/proddetail.asp?prod=GO-12

I'll solder on brand new heavy duty alligator clips for the same price.

    Any takers?

Why is this? I heard that alligator clips are the way to go...

I have heavy duty alligator clips (always what Ive used and liked them since they hold the wires I use really well). I havent soldered the new ones on yet but I can include them that way if youd rather have smooth ones you can pick either.

Toothed clips are almost impossible to clean properly.

Toothed clips do not grab the wires porperly - it's like dental floss falling through the gap between teeth.

I've seen High Power Roclet folks "trained" by their local clubs to use the rusty barely-conducting toothed alligator clips by wrapping the long copper igniter leads (like on a First Fire) around and around the clips. This can be a disaster if the clips are dragged upward by the rocket if the igniter is still held to the motor (by a red cap or tape or whatever). You then have a "U-Control" rocket - without any control. Why supply clips if people are expected to wrap their igniter wires around the clip? Why not just supply stripped launch leads with bare wire on the end or even a post on the pad to wrap the igniter wire around?

    Micro clips need to:
    * Be clean for good electrical current flow to the igniter.
    * Grab the round igniter wire firmly.
    * Release the round igniter wire if pulled upon.
    * Be able to be cleaned.
