At ROCtober I launched a rocket that Dennis D. built a bunch of years ago. It is a cluster of 19 E12 motors for a total of 517 Ns, a nice solid I motor. They were ignited using a flash pan, 19 for 19, all lit no cato's peaked out at over 3,000 feet.

P.S. we launched OVER 1,600 rockets at ROCtober this year! (and no, this only counted as 1)

That is insane! Would love to see the video if there is one. I remember seeing this in the planning stages.

All 19 lit and functioned correctly? That boosts my confidence in E12s

Go pro on the ground near the pad, the woosh you hear is the pan full of BP going off if you go slow you can see the black powder fire ball form just before the motors go.

Very cool, never heard of lighting motors this way. Did you use 4F or flash powder?

Very Cool! Expensive, but still Cool!

Any chance we could get a clear shot of a flashpan that is pre-launch? Perhaps a tutorial?

Also, you can post the videos directly into the post by clicking on the little filmstrip icon (between "Insert image" and "Wrap [QUOTE tags around selected text")
