Ratt hybrid, actually 2 of them. Almost 130db (measured)

I can attest it was a way different sound signature and extremely impressive flight. Kudos to all you gas burners out there!

Loudness is a quality that an individual perceives, not a property of the motor. Clearly the larger the motor the more sound it will put out. However, we have tables of safe distances that govern how far away from the human beings a rocket must be when we push the buttons. So, the question actually morphs into another question: Given how far away from the audience the motor is usually placed at most TRA and NAR events, which motor(s) give the loudest perception of noise. By that criterion, I must nominate the Aerotech J350W. Other nominations?

By far the quietest motors, in my opinion, are the black smoke formulas.

I would vote for skid marks in general. Then again, some of the large really fast burn motors ala vmax can be pretty loud.

Alan, I believe congrats are in order re TMT chair.

Using the criteria of size range and pad distance, I would nominate the I1299N-P Warp-9 AT motor in the 38/460 case size. Letting 430 Ns go in 1/3 second. It sounds like a cannon shot and I can hear it echo around the launch site.

Although many people may have not heard one, I nominate the Contrail J416 filled with ~850psi N20.

Years back at Plaster Blaster Aerotech flew a demo motor that Gary called a "Loudmouth" or something along those lines. If I recall it burned like a lower smoke variant of White Lightning and I think it was 54mm (like a 2-grain?). In any event yes that was loud indeed and I would love to buy such motors, Aerotech.
