Yea, I've seen some of the photo shoot setups and makeup artists for burgers and such....and I get a good portion of it. Real burgers photograph like crap even when they taste great. But this is a pretty big difference in size.... not just fluff'ed to be pretty.

Surely you're not suggesting someone making minimum wage 29.5hrs/wk. takes less care than a professional photography team?

But at the end of the day, bacon is still pretty awesome.

No, the appearance isn't too much concern, it's the volume of bacon I'm looking at. And...while speed is important, and I don't care about apperNce much, they should be able to hit the roll, and everyone should take pride in their work. The work ethic of "I'm mad screw everyone" is a sickness in this country. .

I do field engineering and manage electrical trades crews. You're 110% spot on here.

And bacon rules. There are no substitutes.

After I have been reading this thread about bacon for several days, my wife just informed me, that for dinner tonight we will be having pork chops, smothered in brown sugar and sauerkraut with baked potatoes' and corn on the cob! Well it is not bacon, but, it is damn close. Please forgive me for straying away from bacon.

Can't speak to BP or AP. But bacon on the grill is a hoot! Just have to keep things moving quick!

This is my family's most favourite breakfast. I don't know what the official name is but we call them "whale eyes".....probably an east coast thing .

Bake the bacon in a muffin tin, then crack an egg in, over medium? Sounds amazing.
