Those of you who fly there, which hotels do you recommend?

This is a very up 2 date list of hotels in the area. I think more details on the host hotel will be coming very soon....

Years ago the Sleep Inn in Grasonville, just east of Kent Narrows used to be the hang out after the days' events.
Was near the VFW hall where the MDRA banquet was held.
One floor would often have open doors to rooms with rocketeers working their projects, folks packing chutes in the hallway and partying in the community room.
Close to Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center and Queenstown Harbor Golf Club.
Underwent renovation several years ago. It is not 5 star...maybe 2 star, but I was only sleeping there - was at the event most of the time.
In all the years I stayed, there was only one bad incident where a loud rude wedding party got called out repeatedly by management and dropped a lit cigarette down the laundry chute at 3 AM. The fire crew in the hallway with a lot of big rockets on and inside cars outside was rather amusing...I wasn't sure what happened, glad it wasn't caused by us.
Front desk lady comped me for the night.
(This kind of thing could happen anywhere, happened to us in a five star in downtown Chicago).
That hotel isn't on the current list, for some reason. ?
Since my wife used to attend the three day Red Glare events with me, there were things to do and sea food restaurants at the marina near Kent Narrows to keep her entertained.
Only 59 rooms so this will go fast.
She also liked the Holiday Inn Express in Grasonvlle, which had rooms facing the water.
But some of these alternatives are much more expensive.
Be careful on that Chesapeke Motel (read user comments)
