You won't find it until someone responds to it. I wondered that too when I first joined.
If you need to get back to one of your posts that hasn't been responded to, you can go to the particular sub-forum it is posted in or go to the "My Profile" tab at the top of the page and find your recent posts there.

I post a lot of duds, and find the best way of locating them again is to go to "Quick links" and "participated"...always helps when I start feeling good about myself! This may only work on the app; I just looked up while on my computer, and I don't see similar options...
It's not a new post for you; you've already read it. (When you wrote it.)
