I'm getting a few parts 3D printed for upcoming builds, and the best material option available locally seems to be ABS. These parts will need to be glued to body tubes or balsa nose cones. Will plain old 30 minute epoxy work, or do I need something else? I have some plastic epoxy as well but I don't know if that'll bond to the paper and wood.

If ABS is going to prove very troublesome, then I could find a printer that'll do PLA instead, which I've glued very effectively with epoxy...

Doh, I completely forgot about that stuff, used it when building my daughter's E2X rockets. Can't say I love working with it, but it seemed to hold well enough.

Think I'll order up some extra parts for testing and compare the Testor's vs. epoxy, just to get an idea.

Loctite plastic expoy will glue ABS to wood and many other substrates.

I put a wood centering ring to a plastic nosecone with it, and it's sound.

Hmm, I already have some of this: https://www.jbweld.com/products/plasticweld-syringe. No idea how it compares to the Loctite, although I'd think they weren't *too* different. Neither specifically lists wood or paper among recommended materials. I'll add it to my testing regimen.

I think this is a pretty nifty site- purpose-built for questions like this! Not sure how accurate it is, but kind of a fun link to keep around (and so specific!)
