Is there a good use for a F50-4T motor?

I bought an F50-4T motor yesterday, but after looking at simulations for my 29 mm rockets (Ventris, Majestic, 29 mm Big Daddy), I realized that the delay is just too short. In fact, now that I think about it, I can't imagine any possible MPR rocket that could fly with this short of delay. Does anyone know of a good use for this motor?

ive used it in my PML amraam 2. a little short on the delay- 6 would be perfect- but with the extra long harness i used it worked good.
also in my aerotech mirage. not much for altitude- maybe 500', but perfect timing on ejection.

My SA-5 will digest them when it is complete. It is incredibly draggy, and in my mindsim it will be starting to arc over at deployment on that motor, and slowed to within 20 or so FPS.
Openrocket confirms this, but there are a lot of features on this rocket that OR can't simulate.

Anything with a 3-inch airframe, 34 ounces ought to be just about perfect. You'll get 490' of altitude out of it.

Not bad in this one:

F50-6 is usually a bit too long a delay, especially if there is any wind whatsoever.

F50-4 is better.

Or:

Build a Dual Deploy rocket and forget about the delay. I did that with my PSII rockets. Now I buy up NOS motors with short delays that nobody wants. And I get a good price on them.

You guys might have just talked me into an MDRM!

Rocket logic: Buy a new $70 kit to fly a $24 motor that you bought by mistake.

I've got a spool that loves these engines. It pretty much stops flying when the thrust ends, so short delays are OK.

One of the most-fun odd-rocs out there, IMHO

It's perfect for my Easter Egg, converted from a 16" plastic egg. Only goes about 200' but the crowds love it!!!

MRDM, or my 4" Scratch built 23 OZ rocket. I fly it on the F44-4W with adapter to ~450 feet. Pops right at apogee.

I seem to remember it simmed good in my Wildman Sport for a low attitude flight , I went with the f42-4. 27 oz dry weight.

I bought a F50-4 and flew it in my Estes Pro Series Nike Smoke. I think the delay was a tad bit short, as the on-board video leads me to believe. Upon retrieval, I noticed a small 1/8" tear on the top of the body tube. I will lengthen my shock cord before my next launch. I was impressed with this motor.

You could put it in a vise...

And ignite it in your truck bed...

Ah, never mind...

I have a ton of rockets that could probably fly on F52-8 or G64-7, that I fly on F52-5 and G64-4, simply because I had a stack of those motors.

A few seconds too early never hurt a rocket. Four, five, or more sure, but one or two no problem at all.
