Sorry about that Bill, there's a bunch of stuff (people) I'm gonna miss, including you. Promise to bring you a whole bar next year.

Wayne, I'm really sorry you can't make it to Airfest this year..
I understand life's obligations getting in the way of living...
Take heart,, there will always be next year...
You and Sharon will be sorely missed........

We should be able to get a new truck next year, but this year we will stay pretty close to home. Thanks for the kind regards.

Are there any Tiny Pteros left?

I was at Wildmans today and saw at least 2 kits in stock. I know he is out of town till Monday. Give him a call and see. I have a motor mount if you need one! LOL!!

So... just a tangental question really. When I was at AF last year, I saw a GINORMOUS red, white and black rocket at (I think) the Kloudbusters tent. It was probably 15-18 feet tall and maybe 30+ inches in diameter. I heard that it was going to fly later in the year...sooooo....did it?

I need to see pics of that monster in action!!

Oh it flew alright. IIRC it was a central P with 3 M's. I have a few pics and a video of it if Lance doesn't chime in, definitely his baby.

And the countdown begins..........

I am so psyched.........lol....

I don't mind packing, that's fairly exciting. The killer is then unpacking after the launch is over :(.

I don't mind packin as much as it's a pain to unpack...

But I think that's the same with the drive,,,
It's a lot longer on the way back home,, lol...

Even Pennsylvania- the never ending state is longer on the way back,,, lol..

Teddy,
The drive to the Rocket Pasture might be a killer but imagine the smile you will have on your face when you turn your vehicle off of 80th street onto the Rocket Pasture driveway!
Airfest XXII starts in one week! For all of you driving in, be safe!
See you all in Argonia,
Bob

Wooo Hoooooooo,,
I can't wait Bob............

Come on ,, let's do this....

I'm planning on melting Mark Hayes's vinyl off of "SteamPunk"s fins
with a Loki 76 / 6000 M 2550 B....

Teddy

No Jason,,
I still have all of the parts for that and haven't touched the build yet...
I was supposed to do that last winter but got tied up working on my home...
I'll get to it next winter,, ( I hope, lol )..
This rocket is a 4" by about 9 1/2 ft all glass scratch build "SteamPunk"...
Mark H of StickerShock made me a really cool wrap for it that's now all beat up....
This rocket has 18 or 20 flights on it now...
It went up last year at Airfest on a 76 / 6000 M 1650 CT ...
Mark's vinyl is on the fins as well as the rest of the rocket...
The M 1650 melted some of the vinyl last year...
I figured I'll get a touch less altitude and a bit more velocity on this M 2550 B...
They're both burn in the same case,, 76 / 6000 but the Blue is a faster burn.........

Still have to pull the Ultimate Darkstar down from the hanger.

Jason,
One of my all time favorite rockets has always been the Arcas.....
There were 2 huge Arcas's at Airfest last year,,
yours and someone else's,, I can't remember who's it was...
They are both absolutely gorgeous...
When I saw them last year I almost choked,, lol...

Just smokin man,,,
Is that going up again this year ??
On what load ??

Whos was that other one,, I know he's from QCRS....

Teddy

Teddy,

Yup, that was Chuck Haskin and myself. Mine was yellow (Orange this year) and white. We drag raced on 12,500 EX motors. This year we plan to do the same thing. I also have a 17,500 EX load for it as well. We will see how they do. I had to rebuild my booster after last years flight. Hence the new paint. I also replaced the cone with a longer one.

Teddy

Oh yeah, he's bringing his again. He also has a 3" MD ARCAS that should hit 30k. I haven't seen that one fly before. I think I'm just as excited as you. I'm crawling the walls here at home like a 6 year old waiting for Santa.
