Hello everyone,

Last day's I've spent building this v2 rocket for a school project.
We all had to select a famous scientist.
Mine was Wernher von Braun.
Then we had we had to perform an experiment which made the scientist famous.
The teacher thought it was a great idea for me te build a rocket (since that's my hobby)
and give a presentation about how it worked.
Unfortunately it's using solid propulsion (six Klima D9-5 engines (it can take seven)),
since I'm obvious incapable of building one that flies on liquid propulsion.
I'll send picture's and a video from the launch this Friday.
There will be a Mobius action camera on the rocket for a 1080P onboard video.
Hope you all like the rocket!!!

Wow! Very impressive work. Any build pics?
Are you worried about getting that many motors to fire?

Thank you all for your replies

My Idea was to make a build time laps in the video, which I will post when finished.

As for the motor ignition, I'm not really concerned.
I'll be using gun powder to fill them a bit up and six low voltage igniters.
I've tested this method and it work great, although I still hope for the best.

Very nice build! The V2 is a classic design. It would be cool to see your time lapse video.

-Especially- a launch video :)

Edit- I've been under a rock for a while, I had never heard of Klima motors... I have a lot of catching up to do!

question, have you tested your proposed ignition system? bear in mind that the Klima motors are not black powder and likely not end burners, which means they need to be lit from the forward end of the motor. if they are in fact core burners then the likely chain of events would be a puff of smoke followed by a short chuff of noise followed by silence with the rocket not moving.

Thank you Rex,

I have indeed tested the whole system to make sure it works.
Worked great, so I hope all motors will ignite at the launch as well.
