rail button recommendations

are any of them better than the others? What size should I order for this rail?

any 1010 rail buttons will work but I like the ones with the recessed tapered hole so the screw doesn't stick out.

Buttons? Call me cheap, or call me crafty, but I buy my rail buttons at...Ace Hardware.

I use 2 nylon trim finishing washers with a short piece of nylon #8 tube (or maybe it's #6, I forgot)

I've never actually bought a 'rail button' lol



The trim washers are tapered, so countersinking the screw is easy. I usually trim the tubes, and have also left them 'full length' at 1/4", but it's a little sloppy on the rail.

++++1 These are great. They have a slightly thicker base that gets the rail further away from your nice paint job. Also countersunk with stainless steel screws supplied.

I buy them at LDRS from a big vendor on site. Throw them in my luggage and unsuccessfully search for them a month later.
Repeat annually.

He also has standoffs that move them even further away. Dog House has great products and excellent service. :smile:
