This is a fairly straightforward conversion. The base airframe is PopWing (https://www.nitroplanes.com/02a-019-popwing-epp-hh-kit.html, $35; or https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking...Teksumo_EPP_Wing_900mm_ARF_US_Warehouse_.html, $39). I sand a little groove into the seam between wing panels and add a 38mm tube.

The glider slopes really well. My wife and I fly matchy versions (hers is orange, so we can tell who is flying what). Yesterday, I flew this one on Estes 29mm motors, 1x E16 and 3x E15, all four happy flights.

The photos are in awkward light. I'm in a hotel room in Santa Barbara. If the wind cooperates, there are wonderful slopes on the ocean here, and maybe I get to fly this one again tomorrow.

Youtubes of yesterday's rocket flights have to wait until I return home.

375g with the 29mm motor mount but without the motor. Dugelage is 38mm and I have interchangeable mounts for 29 and 32mm.

My and Amy's Popwings now have a place on the wall. I cut these little 1/8" ply brackets on on my laser cutter. The gliders' rail guides slide right into them fit easy mounting and unmounting.

That's nice Ari, I wound up bending a heavy paperclip into a shape that would slip over the rail button, and then I can hook it on a screw eye on the ceiling, slides on and off easily, same idea, I know you are using rail guides so this wouldn't work for you, that looks like a nice solution. I wish I had a laser cutter:)

R/C, both of them. They ate dual-use twchnology. They can fly on rocket power and also on the slope. Amy mostly flies hers as a slope soarer.

do u know the angle between the motor tube and the root cord of the wing? Did u reinforce the center section of the wing?

Good modification. I have wondered if some conversion like this would be a good beginner's RC rocket glider.
