Okay, so i'm now a goony fan, but where do i go from here?
here's my options
1. buy some original goonys from ebay (and don't tell the wife how much)
2. get some more of excelsiorrocketry retro kit bash plans and decals HERE
3. goony something that's already out there.
I like all three options, and i know that i will be buying from gordy again - definately the iron wombat.
so what would you do? and why?

I make my own from Baby Berthas - 7 bucks a rocket. I have one clone (Cloud Hopper), one upscale (3x Mosquito) and 4 originals.

AC Supply sells the Baby Bertha for $6.90, and if you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they'd go for less than that with a 40% off coupon. Our Hobby Lobbys always seem to have Baby Bertha kits.
And that reminds me -- if you want to build a Big Bertha, buy the Baby for the nose cone, and you can find plenty of vendors selling the 18" lengths of BT-60 tubes for $1 or so each. I believe the Baby's fins are a little smaller, but balsa is cheap. Or you could get laser cut fins from Semroc. Lots of ways to skin this cat for a whole lot fewer $ ...

here's two 301% upscale mosquitos, one with a single 18mm mount and one with a x2 18mm mount.
Gordy from Excelsiorrocketry upscaled a load of minibrute decals for my mosquitos.
I too love mosquitos got a range of sizes including a 625% upscale which flies nicely on a H180.

I personally prefer the later scheme, especially for finding rockets out in a field.
I also took a fin from my Madcow Mozzie (5x upscale) and photocopied it and downscaled it, so the fins might not be perfectly scale, but close enough.

Buy, clone, invent? My answer is: yes!
Although, since I don't care much for the whole auction thing, I doubt that I will ever get a chance to buy an original Goonybird. But the other things? Oh, yeah!
I've had this idea for a Goony that I have been kicking around in my mind for a couple of years. Maybe I'll get to work on it.

Having pondered for a while, i've decided that i'll get some stuff from excelsiorrocketry (in a few months time, ready for the winter builds)
but i am going to goonify an estes menace - already has the right BT and nosecone, just a matter of shortening the BT and looking at how to fit/cut down the fins and airscoop.
