Thanks for the reply as I am using Open Rocket flight sim and wanted the mass of Hawk mountain G12 air frame
the Open Rocket flight sim has an option for "fiberglass" with a mass of 1.07 oz/in 3.

Thanks !

Attached is the results of my calculations for the Hawk Mountain 4 inch and 6 inch airframes

Bobby
1.8 g/cc = 1.04 oz./cubic inch which is about 45% fiber and 55% epoxy typical of a medium strength fiberglass composite. A higher strength fiberglass composite will have a density >2 g/cc or 60% fiber loading, where as a lower strength fiberglass composite will have a density <1.73 g/cc or 40% fiber loading.

Again, it depends on the fiberglass loading, the density of the epoxy and the density of the glass.

The density of cured West type epoxy is 1.17 g/cc. The density of e-glass is 2.58 g/cc.

The density of the composite is 1.17*e + 2.58*g = 1.15*(1-g) + 2.58*g where the % of glass ranges from 0% < g < 100%
