NARHAMS' March monthly sport launch will feature a glider theme and we will be holding an RC Glider Event. It will follow the NAR RC Glider event rules, but we won't be sanctioning the event as a contest - just for fun.
In summary, the RC Glider event lets you pick a target duration (between 30 sec. and 8 min.) and you will also have a spot to land on. You fly 3 times and the cumulative best of meeting your time and close landings determines your score. Any RC RG can be used, most any engine. See the US Model Rocket Sporting Code for the specifics.
You S8 pilots can just pick 6 minutes for your target duration and practice your FAI chops.
The event will be on Saturday, March 19, 2016 - mark your calendars, it should be a great, low-key way to get that winter rust worked off.
