Interesting...they fly their test shots over land. These were launched from the White Sea (near Murmansk, just east of Finland), and hit in Kamchatka, far east Russia. Looks like they've had quite a bit of trouble with this missile as well.

The sub is brand new and sounds pretty formidable. Welcome to Cold War v2.0:

20 (955А Borei II), 16 (Project 955) × RSM-56 Bulava SLBMs with 6-10 MIRVed warheads each. The sub was actively deployed in 2014 after a series of exercises. 3 built, 3 under construction, 10 total planned. "Advances include a compact and integrated hydrodynamically efficient hull for reduced broadband noise and the first ever use of pump-jet propulsion on a Russian nuclear submarine... It has been reported that the arrival of the Borei-class submarines will enable the Russian Navy to resume strategic patrols in southern latitudes that have not seen a Russian missile submarine in 20 years."
