I posted in Plans my Viking 7 design:

I decided to go ahead and build it.
When I went to print it out as a PDF, I got a pleasant surprise: OR will print out fin patterns as well as centering ring patterns! I think I got the body tube material or dimensions wrong, as the rings were a little off. I printed them out on cardstock, then cut the fins from balsa. I cut the tabs from a separate piece, so the grain would run the long ways, in the hopes it won't split. I probably should have papered the fins, though.
The build was very straightforward--cut centering rings, cut BT-20, build engine mount. I tied kevlar to the end of the hook, a la Semroc (before previous thread), insert, glue on fins, tie on 1/8" elastic, build and attach parachute, CWF nose cone and fins, prime, and paint. The weather here has been unseasonably warm, so painting wasn't bad.
I just need some "7" decals...
