Oh yeah: How did Jim Parker's flight go???? Shame I had to ditch out early. Maybe for the best :) :) :).

While y'all were having tons-o-fun in the sun, I finished building a scaffold so I can finish repairing the termite/woodpecker damage to my shop without busting my ass climbing up and down a ladder. The weather forecast for the upcoming week looks fantastic, so while you guys are stuck in your cubicles staring at a monitor, I'll be outside pushing the button on something!

Sweet. You have 3 phase out there? I can see a full blown rocket factory in your future :).

Pyrobob, did you get a video of your cool vintage LOC rocket very soft spot landing right at show center?

If so you have to post it! Coolest recovery of the day.

Yeh, that was TRULY AMAZING!

No, just single phase with one 220 outlet for my welder. I built this in early 1984 but made the mistake of using some non-treated lumber that was in ground contact. This provided an avenue for termites who made a mess of this north wall. Live and learn. Eventually everything will relocate to the new metal building my son built this past summer but I'll have to win the lottery first!

Loved the way it was thermaling around and drifting almost in circles as the large chute let it drift towards the ground very very slowly.

It was probably more, but I swear that the rate of decent under the canopy looked like it was about 2 feet per second.

That looks really nice. What's the floor area and approximate price tag on something like that?

I got video on the way up and PokerJones got it, I think, partially on the way down. That was totally sweet. That recovery was exhausting .

Yeah that launch was awesome. :)

Yeah, I think it took about 5 minutes to descend all the way! Flight was around 3000 feet!

I was standing about where the nose cone is. Come to think of it, closer to the rocket itself:

You are gonna get zero sympathy from anyone at the launch for THAT recovery walk...:)

Come on man. I mean, I did have to get out of the way! On the other hand, it was a longer walk back to the car than it was to get the rocket :horse:.
