Working on a 4" bird 'FyrFly' for Octoberfest as a night flyer and have not been paying much attention to the colored flames available. Who has the better green flame? I've flown Mojave Green in the daylight just for the pyro mix but looking for something to stuff in a 54 and keep it in sight. I can adapt down to 38 and have most of the AT and CTI cases. Any suggestions?

K805G in a 54/1706, or a J500G in a 38/720. Big ole Mach diamonds. There's also the I245G in the 38/360.

Flown em all, like em all.

I was thinking about this very subject several months back and thought about starting a dedicated thread. Here's my take, the greenest green flame I've witnessed was Kosdon's Emerald Green. I saw this at Balls in 2002 and was really impressed at how brilliant it really was. No washing out or anything. Sadly, these are not available of course but as David mentioned about, the Aerotech I245G is pretty dang good along with other Mojave Green variants. I happened to fly this same motor in July and you can take a look at it here (video does not do any justice to the flame color :():

While it's difficult to hear in the background, the others watching were impressed with the green flame and asked about it. Here's a J500G on the same day by another flyer:

As I mentioned, video doesn't do much justice but on this bright sun shiny day it was pretty cool looking.

No contest at all, the Mojave Green is the best at night. You cannot get the full effect in daylight.

Very cool, gentlemen! Sounds like AeroTech beats the CTI green? I'm jazzed to try an I245 at dusk (or later) for a test flight. If I don't break it-looks like the J500 goes up next! Thanks!

Another vote for Mojave. This is one area where Aerotech has the edge methinks.
Looking forward to (hopefully) see the Fyrflyr burning green at Oktoberfest..

No doubt about that. Some of my friends think I am hallucinating when I tell them my Cesaroni green pictures are green at all, though I have yet to see it at night.

I get alot of mileage on the lil ole AT H250G. .

Remember my 5lb 1/4 Scale Patriot cert flight at Plaster Blaster ? It really kicked it off the pad totally surprising us ...

Any way non HAZ like the G76G so try to keep one of each in the box ..

That H250G really kicks. My Optima is about 42oz.... was a hell of a ride. I've got a stack in the box... I need to do that again someday soon.

My favorite greens were the green gorilla from amw. Ive only flown one cti green. The G88. I remember it being green. I flown two or three at greens, they are nice.
