Storage of Estes motors

Once the pack is opened do the motors need to be stored in an airtight container?
Do they have a shelf life?

Airtight? No. Dry and temperature stable, yes.

As long as they're kept dry and in relatively stable temp, no shelf life either. There are people on this forum using 30-40+ year old motors successfully. I've been using my 10 year old motors recently...

Just launched a CHAD-staged C6-0 to C6-7 using two motors rattling around in my range box for 15+ years.

I still launch engines from the 1970s, 13mm and 18mm Estes, Centuri and MPC.
They were kept dry and stored indoors. I usually can't use the old igniters though.
