I'm feeling a 98mm Minie Magg. Regular dual deploy setup. L339? =D

I have a LOC Magnum sized rocket in mind for that very motor as well as the L400W :).

I have one that I built, haven't flown it yet. I beefed up the fins to 1/4 and fiberglassed/carbon fibered the fins. Its the normal length and a side hatch for the electronics. I was originally going to fly it on a K1999.

A bunch of years ago... someone flew a Mini-Mag on an M 1939.
Needless to say: it came in ballistic.

So let me guess.....about 8-9 pound of nose weight?

I have successfully flown a 98mm 5" Jart a bunch of times. If this Mini Magg is built strong, fiber glasses properly and balanced, it will work. Put me on the list of people giving you the "go for it" ImageUploadedByRocketry Forum1441834496.585372.jpg

I've got a gizmo that likes the K2045..It just teleports off the pad.

Build a 98mm Gizmo, fly it on the L3150 (bigger v-max) and then come back to the discussion. K2045 in a Gizmo is child's play compared to the OP's question.

P.S.
I've started a drinking game based on your comment.

Every time you mention K2045 and a Gizmo in a thread, I take a shot. Thanks to you, I have to join AA!! :neener:

The K2045 truly shines when staged, hah!

That sound it makes when you know its going really fast. That is an awesome flight. I bet it looked awesome from the ground view.

+1 for the L339, I flew one earlier this year in a minimum diameter rocket:

Staging Nike's on K2045's... James is quite a guy.

As for a 98mm MiniMag... Saw one fly on a coffee can K. It was excellent.
