Estes Andromeda name

I don't know if this belongs here or in the "Watering Hole" but here goes.
Andromeda is a cool Spaceage name that does justice to the rocket, Estes made a good call on that.
Let's get into the back story a little : did the agency that built/commissioned the ship name it after the constellation/galaxy or did they name it after the mythological lady the former were named for? Several other models have Greek damsels' names attached to them; Cassiopeia for one.

I'm gathering the parts to clone the Lady,but am thinking of doing a minor "refit" on her like was done on the Atlantis. I have a short list of both Character and astronomical names picked out.

Please give your thoughts on the matter.
 
My thinking is that most of these tend to be named after star systems, constellations or individual stars; the fact that the star itself is named after something else is beside the fact.
